Portfolio Management

The clarity website now offers a number of tools to help you manage your investment portfolio online.

Online Valuations

We have been providing our clients with online valuations for a number of years. The result of our experience in this area and more importantly feedback from our clients, is the Consolidated Valuation service that is available for all clients registered with the clarity website.

Online Investments

Online dealing in ISA, OEICs and Unit Trusts via Cofunds (no initial commission and significant discounts) is also available. This functionality allows you to make investments at any time in any location. When making online investments you will need to provide your basic details and have your debit card details to hand.

Any investments made using our online service can then be viewed on your online valuation once you have received the contract notes for your investments.

Transaction History

To complement the Online Valuations and Online Investments we are currently developing a transaction history view for those users with Cofunds Holdings. The transaction history will allow you to keep track of all movements within your Cofunds portfolio and download or print copies of the transaction history to store for your personal records.

Your transaction history view defaults to transactions over the past three months, however you can view transactions further back by using the search facility available. You can also view transaction history for your partner/spouse or child if they are too have are registered on the clarity website.

For more information, please visit transaction history. Please note that you will need to be logged in and be a clarity client with Cofunds holdings to access this page.

Risk Profiling

We now offer a risk profiling tool to help clients determine their attitude to investment risk. The risk profiler questionnaire takes a few minutes to answer and will use your answers to generate a suggested target asset allocation. If you are not happy with the suggested you can revise the targets and send them to one of our advisers for further discussion.

When you have decided on your target asset allocation you can then save the information to your financial planning data page, this target data can then be used in the Asset Allocation tool described below.

Asset Allocation Reporting

Part of the new portfolio management section of the website is the asset allocation reporting page, this page uses the data shown on your online valuation to create a number of graphs and a full asset allocation report. When used in conjunction with the data stored in your financial planning data page the information can be used to plan investments by highlighting asset classes and regions that you are over/underweight.

If you would like more information about asset allocation targets please read our research note on the subject.

If you would like to view your asset allocation report and associated graphs please use the following link. Example graphs and data will be displayed for those users that do not currently use the online valuation service.
