The Artemis UK Smaller Companies fund aims to maximise capital growth through investment in UK Equities with a market capitalisation such that they are or could be part of the FTSE Small Capitalisation Index. It is suitable for an investor who requires exposure to UK Equities, but who wishes to focus this investment on smaller companies, and is prepared to accept a high level of investment risk.

Artemis was founded in 1997, as a specialist investment manager focusing on UK Equities. Having undergone a period of ownership by ABN AMRO and then Fortis Bank Artemis have recently bought themselves out with the help of AMG fund managers.

The UK Smaller Companies fund is managed by John Dodd and Mark Niznik. Dodd was one of the founding partners of Artemis, having previously managed the UK Smaller Companies team at Ivory & Sime. All Artemis funds are managed through a team approach, with all managers being responsible for generating investment ideas.
