How does Open Banking with my online valuations work?

Overview

Open Banking is now available for all of our clients with UK Bank Accounts and UK Credit Cards, including American Express. This support means you can now see bank account/credit card balances and transactions within your self-managed holdings on your clarity valuations page.

Regulatory Approval

clarity has been authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to provide Open Banking Account Information Services. This authorisation enables clarity to securely use UK banking API's to receive your bank account/credit card balances for any accounts you wish to add. Note we are limited to the range of banks or credit cards that have chosen to support Open Banking.

Is clarityONLINE secure?

Deactivation of your login details

We'll automatically disable your access to the internet service if three incorrect attempts are made to log in using your details. This is to stop fraudsters making repeated attempts to get into your accounts.

Firewalls

clarityONLINE is protected by firewalls which block unauthorised entry. Firewalls are selective barriers which permit only specific types of traffic through to our systems.

Timed logout

clarityONLINE logs you out automatically if you don't use the service for 15 minutes. This gives you added protection if you forget to log yourself out.

Data encryption

clarityONLINE is hosted on a secure, 256-bit encrypted server with a DigiCert EV SSL certificate installed. This means that all your online activity with clarityONLINE is encrypted from the point that clarity website information leaves your computer until it enters clarity.

I have forgotten my password. What should I do?

If you have forgotten your password, please click here to have a new password emailed to you. You can also access this facility from the login box in the top right hand corner of the clarity website. Please note that the password is case sensitive, so you may want to check if the CAPS LOCK is on or off on your keyboard.

How does the online valuation work?

Registered users can monitor their holdings with Aegon, FundsNetwork, Insignis Cash, James Hay, Moventum and Transact via our virtualWRAP service™.

To access your valuation information you will need to enter your individual login and update your valuation feed details with your Aegon, FundsNetwork, InsignisCash, James Hay, Moventum and or Transact reference number.

Please note that the valuation information may take up to two working days to become available once you have added your reference number to your profile.

Can I make investments online?

At present you can make both ISA and Unit Trust/OEIC investments via our online application service provided by both the Aegon and FundsNetwork Platforms.

The currency rates used in the benefit statement are provided by Wise. Wise is one of the UK’s fastest growing foreign exchange and international payments companies, offering individuals and businesses competitive exchange rates and award-winning service.

Conversion rates are updated on a daily basis and the current rates are shown below. These are the interbank rates, they show where the market is currently trading and are not indicative of the rates Wise can offer you. For dealable rates (in any amount) and more currencies, contact Wise directly.

Complaints

In the event of a complaint arising, the firm has complaint procedures in place that will be followed. If the complaint cannot be resolved satisfactorily, the individual can refer their complaint to The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) which is an agency for arbitrating on unresolved complaints between regulated firms and their clients.
